Ton Chong Fa Waterfall | Khuek Khak, Thailand

1/27/2017

Great trip to the waterfalls, Ton Chong Fa, at the national park.  The total of 5 waterfalls are all worth the effort. When I left the bungalow in the morning just 20 mins away from here, I had no idea where I was going to go. I was wrapped up with my shawl made in Thailand wearing a bikini under. I was more likely going for a beach this day around 30 Celsius with the humid weather, all i saw from my bungalow is a beautiful beach...
Then the road I took brought me to Ton Chong Fa.

I had my iPhone in my hand and a Go-Pro in my mini back pack. I also made sure i applied OFF spray to avoid any bug bites. Although there was WiFi in the general area, the signal weakened as  you climbed hire into the mountain.

I found the hike up this mountain to be slippery with sharp rocks everywhere. I would recommend you wear closed toe shoes as I struggled wearing only flip flops. The level of difficulty for this hike I would say is fairly easy to intermediate.

Lastly, the entrance fee was 200B each person.

I noticed there weren't many visitors.  So far I have seen the entrance guy sitting alone in the hut.
Very quiet in the woods, smells all greens and hear the water sounds around me.  I was glad I had my bottled water with me.

There were so many fishes! I just love looking at them...

Like I said there were many water falls, but some of them were kind of hidden, you will need to wonder and follow the hidden path. Usually just follow the foot prints of old visitors.
Finding mini water falls were very exciting.
I actually fell off into the water right after this picture was taken. I was glad I was wearing a bikini under and that my go pro was waterproof...lol

I personally liked this water fall a lot.  I can't remember but this was the 3rd water fall I found on the way to the top.   I decided to jump in from the front rock you see, it was amazing!  There were wild doctor fishes swimming in this lagoon which started to bite on my legs.  Some of these fishes were up to 5" in length and sorta freaked me out!!! (*V*) .
This picture below is the Tong Chong Fa Waterfall. This was the end of my hike although you could still continue on a steeper climb. The waterfall was about 15 ft high.  It started to rain heavily just after this photo was taken and therefore decided to climb back down.

It was a total about an hour hike to this Ton Chong Fa waterfall.  Lots of wildlife whilst walking through the jungle, and enjoyed a nice refreshing dip when I arrived at the waterfall!

I absolutely loved my once in my life experience.
